      How to choose gym mats

      Rubber gym mats protect your subfloor and equipment, cut noise and give you a stable surface to train on.

      • Thickness. 15mm tiles suit everyday training, benches, cardio machines and dumbbell areas. 25mm tiles add cushioning for heavy strength training and high-traffic areas. 30mm is the thickest gym flooring in our range.
      • Joining. 15mm tiles are pressed together with a rubber mallet, with optional tape or adhesive along the edges. The 25mm and 30mm tiles are clipped; the 25mm packs include back clips.
      • Finish. Choose classic black, or 15mm tiles with a sealed cover and white flecks that are easy to clean and moisture-resistant.
      • Indoor or outdoor. The 25mm tiles are UV treated and suited to indoor and outdoor use.
      • Coverage. Each tile covers 1m², so a 6-pack covers 6m².

      Common questions

      Which thickness should I choose for a home gym?

      For general training and machines, 15mm home gym mats are usually enough. If you lift heavy, the 25mm or 30mm tiles give more cushioning against dropped dumbbells and heavy machines; for barbell drops, use bumper plates as well.

      How do I install rubber gym mats?

      Lay them on a flat, clean and dry subfloor, line up the tiles and tap them together (or onto the clips) with a rubber mallet. Tiles can be trimmed with a sharp utility knife against a straight edge.

      Can I use gym mats outdoors?

      The 25mm clipped tiles are UV treated and described for indoor and outdoor use. Only the 25mm tiles are described as UV treated; the 15mm and 30mm tiles are listed for gyms, fitness centres and playgrounds.

      How many mats do I need?

      Measure your training area in square metres. Each tile is 1m × 1m, so round up and choose single tiles or 4 and 6 packs to match.
